America's Sustainability

How do we keep in existence the Christian Values our country

set up to preserve and pass on to future generations?

We have heard political candidates talking about "their faith" in their own terms. Let's ask them to state their beliefs in a way that everyone will be able to clearly understand. Let's ask the candidates one direct question:

"Do you believe God is the Ultimate Authority in Life?"

This is not just a religious question because the answer to this question will help us understand the basis of the candidate's values. His or her values will form the basis of his or her decisions and actions throughout their term in office. Therefore, this is a completely legitimate question to ask of all political candidates.

You may be thinking that every candidate will automatically say "yes" to this question, and they may try to do just that. But, if they hold positions on issues that are in conflict with God's word, then all believers will be able to challenge that candidate on their conflicting positions.

This great country of ours was born on and grew great upon the Christian beliefs and values of the founding fathers. But our nation is drifting seriously downward in terms of morals and ethics.

This nation is moving away from God.

It is no coincidence that this is occurring while God is gradually being squeezed out of certain areas of public life. Prayer has been removed from our public schools and religious expression in our courts is now under attack.

While the large majority of Americans today believe in God, small groups of people (the vocal minority) manage to push their views that oppose God, through the political and legal systems. These small special interest groups accomplish their goals by distorting the truth about ideas such as "separation of church and state" and then developing a significant political voice. This gives them the appearance of being "politically correct".

To counter this, God's people need to unify their efforts to develop a significant political voice. We must motivate our elected and appointed officials to reflect our views - the views of the majority.

Our voice in the political arena will also serve to raise awareness of the True Living God in the entire population.

This is not an effort to support any particular candidate, or any political party.
